Modules: Present, Serve and Kids & Check-In
Settings › Modules shows what your church has turned on. An owner turns Kids & Check-In on there; it's included for now.
Some parts of PraisePad are modules: each brings its own pages and settings. Settings › Modules lists them, with whether each is on for your church and how it comes. Owners and admins see the page; only an owner turns a module on or off.
The modules
- Present: lyric slides for the screens, run from the browser. Its card says whether your plan includes it or it's been added, and links to Present and its free trial. See Present.
- Serve: scheduling every team, not only Worship, with check-in, requirements and the serving report. Included for every church. See every team on the schedule.
- Kids & Check-In: check-in and pickup for children's ministry, with labels, rooms, paging and stations that keep working without wifi. Included for now: an owner turns it on, and nothing changes for anyone until they do. See Kids & Check-In.
Turn on Kids & Check-In
- Open Settings › Modules (you need to be an owner).
- Turn on Kids & Check-In. A Kids tab appears in Settings, and Kids in the menu for Kids leaders.
- Set up your rooms and services, then pair the stations.
Your owners and admins are Kids leaders already. To make someone else a Kids leader, give them Kids access as a manager under Settings › Access; Kids access needs two-step sign-in. Volunteers at the desk and in the rooms need no access.
Turning one off
Turn Kids & Check-In off and its pages and stations stop, but everything you set up is kept: rooms, stations, children's Kids pages and past check-ins. Turn it back on and it's all there.
