Take gifts online with PraisePad Giving

Connect Stripe once: your own give page with card, bank and Apple Pay, monthly gifts, receipts, money to the bank.

PraisePad Giving is your church's own give page, at the church's address on PraisePad. Givers choose an amount and a fund, give once or on a schedule, and pay by card, bank account, Apple Pay or Google Pay. The money goes to the church's own Stripe account and from there to its bank. Every gift lands in Giving by itself, with its receipt sent and its statement line ready for January.

Cost

Stripe charges its processing fee (2.9% + 30¢ for cards; a nonprofit rate of 2.2% + 30¢ once Stripe has approved it; about 0.8% for bank payments, capped). PraisePad takes 0.5% of each gift. Givers can add the fee so the church receives the full amount; most do when asked. There's no monthly charge.

Connect Stripe

  1. In Settings, under Giving, choose PraisePad Giving as how your church takes gifts.
  2. Under Stripe, for PraisePad Giving, choose Who finishes the Stripe setup: yourself, or email the church's treasurer a link. Stripe asks for the church's legal name, EIN, bank account and the person's identity. It takes about ten minutes; Stripe sometimes checks for a day or two.
  3. The card says where things stand in plain words: what Stripe still needs, Finish setup, and when the page is live. Apple Pay is registered for you.

Once Stripe says yes, the give page opens, your give link becomes the page's address, and Present's Give slides follow it.

The look

Under Give page: a colour (checked for contrast), the suggested amounts, the smallest gift, whether to offer covering the fee, whether you have Stripe's nonprofit rate (so the fee line is right), and a thank-you note in English and Spanish, with a live preview.
