Payouts: each deposit to the church's bank, with its gifts and fees

Each deposit Stripe makes to the church, by fund, with the fees apart, refunds as minus lines, and a deposit file.

Giving, under Payouts, lists each deposit Stripe makes to the church's bank account from PraisePad Giving, the one on its way first. Pick a deposit and you see it by fund: the gifts, what givers added to cover fees, Stripe's fee, PraisePad's fee, and what reached the bank. Refunds and disputes show as minus lines. Under it, every gift in that deposit; tapping a giver opens the gift. The page is for Giving managers with names.

Why the deposit isn't Sunday's total

Stripe pays out on its own schedule, usually two business days after a card gift and about four after a bank payment, and it takes the fees out first. A deposit is a bundle of gifts from several days, less fees, less any refund in that bundle. Payouts shows exactly which gifts make up each deposit, so the bank statement matches to the cent.

The deposit file

Deposit file downloads every paid deposit as a spreadsheet, one line per fund per deposit, with each fund's QuickBooks account and class from Settings. Your bookkeeper records each deposit as it landed, with the fees as their own lines. The gifts themselves are in the gifts export, as before. See QuickBooks and Aplos files.

When a payout fails

If the bank sends a deposit back (a closed account, a wrong number), the deposit shows as failed here, the Giving home says so, and the church's Giving managers and owners are emailed. Fix the bank account in the church's Stripe dashboard; Stripe tries again by itself.
