Find songs, filter the list, and add a song to Sunday from it

For everyoneChecked Oct 6, 20262 minutes to read

Search, filter by tag, theme, or key, choose the columns, and add a song to Sunday from its ⋯.

Songs lists every song in your library. Type in the search box to find one by its title, an author, a CCLI number, or a theme: the list narrows as you type.

Open in PraisePad to try it

Filter the list

Press Filter to show only the songs with a tag, a theme, or a key, or to see archived songs. The button at the bottom says how many songs are left. Each filter that's on shows as a chip above the list: press a chip to take it off, or Clear for all of them. A reload keeps them.

Choose what each song shows

Columns (on a phone, under the three dots beside the sort) chooses what each song shows besides its title: the key, the tempo, time signature, last used, times in six months, next planned, CCLI number, tags, themes, arrangements, and when it was added or last changed. Your choice is kept on this device. On a wide screen they're columns, and pressing a column's name sorts the list by it; on a phone they're a line under the title. Reset to the default goes back to the key alone.

The ⋯ on each song

The ⋯ at the end of a song's row has Open the song, Print, and Stage view, and Play the recording when the song has one.

Tidy your tags

Tags are labels many songs share, like Christmas or New songs. Leaders press Manage tags in the Filter to rename a tag (renaming it to another tag's name merges the two) or take it off every song, with Undo. It points out a tag that looks like a song's title or sits on one song only: usually a title typed into Tag every song (optional) when importing PDFs.
