Sign-up questions and an agreement

For everyoneChecked Oct 26, 20262 minutes to read

Ask what you need to know, of each person or once a sign-up, and add words everyone agrees to, like a waiver.

Any event with sign-ups, free or with tickets, can ask questions and carry an agreement. They're on the sign-up sheet on your church site, in English or Spanish by the reader's language, and the answers come back to Who's coming, the check-in list and the station at the door.

Add a question

  1. On the event, under Questions, press Question.
  2. Type the question, and In Spanish for your site's Spanish readers (left empty, they see the English).
  3. Choose the answer: Text, Choice (type the options, each with its Spanish), Yes or no or Date.
  4. Under Who answers, choose Each person, for a t-shirt size, or Once a sign-up, for who can drive.
  5. Turn on Required if everyone must answer it to sign up, then press Add it.

Or tick one of the Common questions: T-shirt size, Allergies or diet, Emergency contact, Can you drive others?, or Anything else we should know? Each comes with its Spanish, and you can change it from its row. A row's ⋯ moves a question or takes it off the sheet; answers already given stay in the export. Duplicate copies the questions and the agreement with the event.

The agreement

For a waiver or a photo release, press Agreement. Type What they agree to, choose Add it in Spanish if you like, and leave Everyone signing up must agree on to make the tick needed. On your site it shows as "Before you sign up", with "I've read this and I agree." Each sign-up keeps the words it agreed to, with the time: changing the words later keeps what earlier sign-ups agreed to. No agreement takes it off the sheet; sign-ups that agreed keep it.

Where the answers go

  • In Who's coming, Details under a sign-up shows each person's answers, the sign-up's own, and when it agreed.
  • Export CSV has a column for each question, and when each sign-up agreed.
  • The printed check-in list and the station at the door show each person's answers by their name; on the station, an answer about allergies, diet or health shows in red.
  • Add someone and Edit the people let the office type answers in; "required on the site" marks the ones the site asks for.
  • With the people list, your church's export has every answer.

Answers like allergies are private: only Events managers and the event's organizer see them, with two-step sign-in. Ask only what you need.
