Export everything

Owners and admins can download a zip of your church's songs, charts, files, and service history: open Settings, then Export, and press Prepare the export. It's yours to keep, and it imports back into PraisePad.

Make the export

1. Open Settings, then Export.
2. Press Prepare the export. For a big library this can take a minute.
3. When it's ready, PraisePad says how many songs, arrangements, files, and services it holds. Press Download zip.

The download link works for an hour. After that, press Prepare it again.

What's in it

• songs/: a folder for each song, with each arrangement as a .chordpro file (title, authors, key, tempo, copyright, and CCLI number inside it), and its PDFs and other files beside it.
• songs.csv: every song, with its details.
• services.csv: every service, with its set list.
• song_usage.csv: every song on every past published service, for CCLI reporting.
• links.csv: the reference links on your songs.
• README.txt: what's what, and anything left out, like an arrangement with no chart yet.

People, schedules, and notes aren't part of the export.

A big library comes in parts

When your files add up to more than about 300 MB, the export comes in parts. Part 1 has the charts, the spreadsheets, and the first files.

1. Download part 1 as above.
2. Press the button for each other part, like "Prepare part 2 of 3", and download it when it's ready.
3. Unzip every part into the same folder, so the files land beside their charts.

If files were added or removed after part 1, PraisePad asks you to prepare the export again.

Bring it back in

To bring the charts into another PraisePad church, open its Songs page, press Import, and drop in the .chordpro files. PDFs go in the import's PDF tab. See import PDFs.
