The Calendar on your church site, and signing up there
Your public events on your site's Calendar: subscribe, open an event, and sign up a whole family with no account.
Once your church has a public event, your church site gets a Calendar tab: the month, with your church's color marking the days, and the month's dates as a list, with service times too while Settings › Events shows them. The site's Home shows the next event under the next service. Like the rest of the site, it's in English or Spanish by the phone's language, with your Spanish titles and descriptions where you wrote them. A church with Events and no Giving gets a site this way too.
Subscribe
puts the whole calendar in the calendar app people already use: , on an iPhone, iPad or Mac, or for Outlook and the rest. New events and changes show up there by themselves; changes reach Google within a day. Each event's page also has , which needs no subscription.
An event's page
The picture (or your color and the title), when and where with a map link, who it's for, and the description, with to send it on. A cancelled event says so, and a past one says "This event has passed" and points to what's next.
Signing up
- Press , or when it's full.
- Type a name and an email, and a phone if they like.
- Under Who's coming, add each person and choose or . stops at the event's limit for one sign-up.
- Answer the event's questions, if it asks any, and tick "I've read this and I agree." when it has an agreement.
- Press the button, like "Sign up 3 people".
The places are said plainly: "4 places left", "Full; join the waitlist", or, when only some of a family fits, "2 places left. Who comes now?", with the family choosing who waits. When people are already waiting, it says "Waitlist open · places go in order". Nobody needs an account: the confirmation email has a link to change or cancel. Someone signed in on your site finds their household filled in ("Not Sarah? Sign out"), and their sign-ups under Me. See Sign-ups and Who's coming for the emails and the waitlist.
Tickets
An event with tickets shows what it costs on the Calendar and on its page ("From $45", "$45" or "Free"), and opens the sheet. Each ticket has a − and a + with its price ("$70 until Jan 31, then $85" while an early price runs) and how many are left; each person gets a name and a ticket, then come the questions and the total, with when your church offers it. With something to pay, the payment opens on the same sheet: a card, Apple Pay or Google Pay, with the places held for 30 minutes. Then "You're in", with one code for the door for the whole family, and the receipt and tickets by email. Free tickets go straight in. A ticket sold only by its own link shows only to people who open that link. A ticket with a deposit says "Deposit $25 now, the rest by Feb 20", and the total shows what's paid today. When the event has discount codes, under the total takes money off on the next step, and a 100% code lets the family straight in (see Deposits and discount codes). Under Me, and on the link in their email, people see what they've paid and pay anything still owed, like the rest after a deposit; cancelling there doesn't refund a payment by itself, since refunds are the church's to decide.
Who sees which events
- Public events are on the Calendar and in what people subscribe to, and search engines can find their pages.
- Members events show only to members who sign in with an email code; anyone else reads that the event is for members.
- By link events are on no calendar and in no search, only for people with the link.
Each month, Your site this month counts the sign-ups made on your site.
