Your site this month

For adminsChecked Oct 26, 20262 minutes to read

How many people opened your church site, which pages, what came of it and where they came from, counted without cookies.

Settings, then PraisePad Church, can show how your church site did this month: how many times its pages were opened, about how many people opened them, which pages, what came of it, and where people came from. The card is called Your site this month, and every church has it, for its owners and admins.

What each figure means

  • Views is how many times a page of your site was opened this month. It's the firm number.
  • Visitors is about how many different people that was, each counted once a day. It says "about" on purpose: PraisePad tells phones apart only roughly, without cookies, so it can run high as well as low. Someone who comes back on another day counts again, and a room full of the same phone on your wifi can count as one person.
  • Gifts given is the gifts given through Give this month, with how many people started one. Sign-ups is the sign-ups for events made on your site, each household once. Kids forms is new families who filled in the form. Chat questions is what your site's chat was asked. Each shows only when your church has that part.
  • Top pages names the pages most opened: Home, Give, Sermons, the Calendar and each public event by its title, the Kids form, Me, Ask.
  • Where people came from says how each visit began: a site that sent them (Facebook, Google), "Direct, or typed in" for an address typed or saved, "The poster's QR" for a scan of the code on your poster or in the share kit, and "Present's slide" for a code on your screens. Every page of a visit counts for where the visit began. The QR codes PraisePad makes for your site carry a small mark that says which they were; the address people read and type stays plain.

A month starts over on the 1st, in your church's own time, so a Sunday evening never lands on Monday.

Privacy, in plain words

PraisePad counts visits itself, the way a turnstile counts: no cookies, nothing stored on anyone's phone, and nothing kept that could say who a visitor was. The address a phone connects from is mixed with a random value that changes every day into a code, and the address isn't kept. Each day's random value is deleted after two days, so two days can't be joined up, and after that nobody, PraisePad included, can work a code out again. Nobody outside PraisePad sees another church's figures, and in your church only owners and admins see its own. The Privacy Policy says the same at length.

When it's empty

A month with nothing counted yet says so in words. Figures appear as visits come in; hand out the poster, put the address in the bulletin, and look again next Sunday.
