The serving report

For leadersChecked Oct 12, 20262 minutes to read

Who's carrying too much, who hasn't served lately and why, what's open, what expires soon, and Say thanks.

Reports, then Serving shows every team for church staff. Each team's leaders see the same for their team on the team's page.

One window

Choose the window at the top: the last 10 Sundays, the last 6 months, or this year. Every number on the page counts that window.

Each person has a strip of squares, one per service: served, said no, covered for someone, took an open spot, or not scheduled. When someone has served 9 or more of the last 10, PraisePad says so ("Sarah has served 9 of the last 10 Sundays"), with Say thanks and "Give Sarah a lighter month", which sets their serving to at most a few a month and tells them why. Below it: "Most people served about 4 of the last 10 Sundays".

The cards beside it

  • Next 4 weeks: open spots and requests nobody has answered, with Fill open spots.
  • Haven't served lately: each with the reason: paused, away, blocked by a requirement, or simply not lately (church staff see Message for those).
  • In the window: how many said no, found a teammate to cover, covered for someone, or took an open spot. For a team with check-in: "Checked in 58 of 61". Counts only, never names.
  • Expiring soon: requirements that run out in the next 60 days, an expired one in red.

Download gives a spreadsheet with a row per person.

Say thanks

Say thanks opens a note to the person: one box, with the facts PraisePad knows as chips you can switch off ("9 of the last 10 Sundays", "covered for Tom on Oct 4"). Write it for me drafts a warm note from the facts you leave on and your own words, adds nothing it can't know, and uses your church's AI allowance. You always read it before sending. It goes by email and in the app, from your name, and replies come to you. After Send, Undo is there for ten seconds.
