Say how often you can serve

For everyoneChecked Oct 12, 20262 minutes to read

Up to twice a month, the 1st and 3rd Sundays, the 9:00, with Tom. Fill open spots keeps to it.

Under You, then Serving, say how you'd like to be scheduled. Each tap saves on its own, and the line under the card reads it back: "Up to 2 a month, 1st and 3rd weeks, at 9:00, with Tom. Saved."

  • How often: any Sunday, up to so many a month (the − and + in the chip), or once a month.
  • Which weeks: the Sundays of the month you'd like, 1st to 5th. None picked means any week.
  • Which time: the 9:00, the 11:00, or either (pick none).
  • Serve with: someone in your household who is on the church's team: the same time, the same Sunday, or "we take turns" (never at the same hour).

If you're on more than one team, Same for all my teams keeps one card; turn it off for a card per team.

What it does

Fill open spots keeps to it. A leader who puts you on by hand anyway sees one sentence ("Asked for at most 2 a month; this would be the 3rd") and chooses whether to ask you. You can always say no to a request.

Your preferences don't stop you from taking an open spot yourself: see Open spots and sign-up. The church's monthly limit and your time away do.

A rotation your leader put you on ("1st and 3rd Sundays, at 9:00") counts above your own "how often" on its weeks, because you agreed to it.

Not for now

Not for now takes you off the draft until you turn it back on. Your leaders are told, and you keep your place on the team. Time away for a few dates is under Time away: see Dates you're away.

For leaders

A person's page shows their preference in words. After a conversation, staff or the team's leader can set it for them, and the activity log says so. Say it in words lets you type it the way you'd say it ("Ruth only on 1st and 3rd Sundays at 9:00, with her husband"); the chips fill in and you check them before saving.
