Find a sub when you can't make it

If you can't make a service you've answered, choose Find a sub. PraisePad asks everyone who plays your position and is free that day. The first person to say yes takes your spot, and you and your leader are told.

Ask for a sub

1. Open the service and choose the Team tab. On your row, choose Find a sub. You'll also find it on the page your request email opens, once you've answered.
2. Add A word for the team if you like, such as "Out of town that weekend."
3. Choose Ask for a sub.

PraisePad asks, by email and in the app, everyone who has your position, has a PraisePad account, isn't already on that service, and isn't away that day. If nobody fits, it says so and the request closes. Ask a leader to look further.

Until someone says yes, the spot is still yours. You can ask any time before the service starts.

Saying yes to a sub request

The email's subject starts "Sub needed". Choose I can do it in the email or on the request page. If someone got there first, the page says who took it.

When someone says yes

• They're on your position as Accepted, with the note "Sub for" and your name.
• If you'd said yes, your spot changes to Declined, noting you found a sub.
• You, whoever asked, and the leader who scheduled you get an email and a notice in the app. There's nothing more to do.

What the leader sees

While the request is open, your row on the Team tab says Sub request out, which opens it. You, whoever asked, or a leader can choose Close the request to stop it.
