Ask for what PraisePad doesn't do
Requests is where you ask for something new and vote for what other churches asked. You hear when it moves.
Open Requests from Pad's panel: under "Want something PraisePad doesn't do?", choose . The page lists what people across PraisePad have asked for, ranked by how many churches want it. Vote for what your team needs, or ask for something new, and you hear when it moves.
Asking
- Press .
- Give it a title in your words, one line, and say what you'd do with it.
- Press .
As you type the title, PraisePad looks for the same ask in other words. When it finds one it's sure about, it asks "Is this the same as…?" and shows up to three. Choose to add your vote to that one, or to carry on.
If you came from a page in the app, that page goes along with your request, so we know where it came up. Only PraisePad's team sees it.
Anyone on a church's team can ask: owners, admins, leaders and musicians. A seat for Giving only can't.
Voting
Press on a request. One vote a person; press it again to take it back. The count beside it is people; the line under the title counts churches ("Grace Church and 11 others"), because a church with five voters counts once. ranks by churches first, then people. shows what you asked for and what you voted for.
What other churches see
The request's title and what you'd do with it, with email addresses and phone numbers taken out, and your church's name. Never your name. If you ask from a library of your own, other churches see "a musician" instead. If the words name a person or a church, your church sees the request until we've had a look.
Withdrawing
Press on a request you asked for while the vote is yours alone. Once someone else has voted, it stays.
Hearing about it
Each request shows where it stands: Considering, Planned, Building, Live, Declined or Merged (into another request, with a link). When a request you voted for is being built or goes live, or when one you asked for gets a reply, you get a notice in the app and one email. Turn the email off under Email on your account. See Your privacy for what's kept.
