Present: words for your livestream
Put the song words over your stream's camera with a link in OBS, vMix, Ecamm or StreamYard, in your stream look.
Your livestream can show the words over the camera: a song's lines, a passage with its reference, the sermon's points, on a clear background. Your streaming software opens them as a link, a browser source, in OBS, vMix, Ecamm or StreamYard, with no plugin and no NDI.
Make the link
- While you run the service's slides, press , open , and press . is greyed out in Practice, so make it on the real show before any slide goes up.
- Press beside the new link.
- In your streaming software, add a browser source, 1920 by 1080, and paste the link.
- In OBS, leave "Shutdown source when not visible" unticked, so the words keep coming while another scene is on.
Like every screen link, it belongs to these slides: make a new one for next week's, and press on an old one when you're done with it.
What the stream shows
The words alone. Pictures, videos and blank slides show nothing, so the camera shows through, and your notes, messages and Kids pages never reach the stream. The words arrive within a second of each slide. If they stop, the link reconnects by itself within 5 seconds, so nobody needs to touch the streaming software. Opened before the service, it stays clear and shows the words within half a minute of the first slide. Practice never reaches it, and if your network blocks the quick connection, the words still come, a second or two behind.
Your stream look
Leaders give the words their look once, for every service: Present's , then , then the Livestream look ( makes the first). Choose the (, or ), the font from your brand kit and its size, the , the kept clear around the edge, and its opacity, your , and the . , and are switches of their own.
The preview sits on a checkerboard, the way your streaming software sees clear, with the safe area dashed. plays three lines through your fade. Press ; links already open change within a minute. While you run the slides, a leader's menu has to open it in a new tab. To give one link another look, see looks for each screen.
While the service runs, the Ready strip under the top bar says "Stream has a viewer" once your streaming software is showing the words.
