Present: the pastor's screen, the lobby and events

For leadersChecked Oct 9, 20261 minute to read

A confidence screen for the pastor, a singers' monitor, lobby TVs by link, and slides for weddings and the lobby.

The projector shows what the room sees. Present can show the slides on other screens too, each with what that screen needs.

The pastor's screen and the singers' monitor

While you run the slides, press Screens.

  • The pastor's screen shows what's on screen and what's next, your notes on the slide, the time, and how long this part has run against the run sheet. Messages you send from Message (like "Wrap up" or "5 minutes") show there big, and only there.
  • The singers' monitor shows the words on screen big, with the first line of what's next. It's for singers; the band keeps the stage view for chords.

Open either one in a window on the same computer and drag it to that screen, or make a link for any device.

Under Screens, make a link for the lobby or an overflow room, the pastor's screen or the singers' monitor, then Copy it and open it in any browser: a TV, an iPad, a laptop. Nobody signs in; the link is the key, so share it only with the people who need it. The room's screens never see your notes or messages for the pastor. When you're done, press Turn off and the link stops working.

Events and loops

Not everything is a Sunday service. On Present's home:

  • An event makes slides for a wedding, a funeral, a youth night or a conference session, with its own day.
  • A lobby loop makes slides that play by themselves, round and round, on a TV in the lobby. It starts with this week's announcements from your library and keeps them current; add any slides you like. Make a link for it under Screens, open it on the TV, and press F for full screen.
