Present: owners, due dates and guests
Give the pastor or the office their own part of the slides, with a due date, a reminder and a Ready check.
Each part of a service's slides can have owners: the sermon for the pastor, the announcements for the office, the songs for the worship leader. An owner changes that part's slides and nothing else, and marks it ready when it's done.
Owners and due dates
- Open the slides and choose a part, like the Sermon.
- Press . Choose a person, or a position: whoever is scheduled in that position on the service owns it that week, so the Worship Leader position owns the songs every Sunday without anyone setting it again.
- Set when it's due. The day before, the owners who haven't marked it ready get a reminder, in PraisePad and by email (under Reminders in their notification settings).
- When the slides are done, the owner presses .
How many parts are ready shows on the slides, on the service's button and on Present's home, so whoever runs the slides on Sunday knows what's still coming. Anything overdue is listed when you get ready for Sunday.
Owners and whoever runs the slides can leave a short note on a part under Comments ("Can we use a different picture on point 2?"). Every slide keeps its last 30 versions: , then brings one back.
Guests without an account
A guest speaker, or someone in the office who isn't on the team, doesn't need to join your church in PraisePad. In , under Contributors, type their name (and email, to send it), choose how long it lasts, and press . Then make them the owner of their part with .
They open the link on any computer and see only the parts they own: they can type slides, add verses, add pictures, and from a PDF or Google Slides. They don't use a seat on your plan. Present includes five; ends a link at once, and replaces a lost one.
Every service starts the same way
When one service's slides are shaped the way you like (owners and due dates for each kind of part, the looks, a countdown at the start, giving at the end), open and press . Every new service of that type then starts that way.
