Exporting giving for QuickBooks, Aplos or a spreadsheet
Deposits by fund with each fund's account and class, every gift as a spreadsheet, and the church export.
Giving managers export from Reports, under Giving, in the Export card. Choose the dates first.
The accounting files
- QuickBooks: one deposit per batch (or per day for gifts that came another way, like a provider's), with one line per fund using each fund's QuickBooks account and class from Settings, under Giving.
- Aplos: the same deposits by each fund's Aplos fund.
- Plain CSV: deposits by fund for any other tool.
They go by the date the church received the money, leave out voided and refunded gifts and batches still being counted or verified, and take part refunds off. Two batches on the same day are named apart by their bag number. Amounts are numbers, so a spreadsheet adds them up. There are no givers in these files.
Every gift
Every gift is a spreadsheet of each gift with its giver, funds, method and status, by the date given. It has names, so it asks for your two-step code.
Every export is in the activity log.
The church export
The church's export in Settings, under Export, leaves Giving out on purpose: giving records are for Giving managers. If you're closing the church's account, ask a Giving manager to download the gifts first; the church's giving records go when the church is deleted.
