Count attendance from a phone

For everyoneChecked Oct 11, 20261 minute to read

An usher taps the service time, presses + and − for adults, kids and online, and saves. Works with no signal.

Open Count from Home on the day of a service (the Count button beside Open set), from the Times tab of a service, or from Reports › Attendance.

Open in PraisePad to try it

Who can count

  • Leaders, admins and owners, for any service.
  • Anyone scheduled that day in a position that counts. Under Settings › Teams, edit a position and tick Can count attendance. An "Usher" position added there gets the tick on its own.

On the day

  1. The service time happening now is already chosen. Switch to another with the buttons at the top.
  2. Press + and − for each number your church counts (adults, kids and online, unless your church changed that under Reports › Attendance). Hold a button to count faster, or tap the number to type it. Last week's number sits underneath as a guide.
  3. Add a note if you like ("rain", "Youth Sunday"), then press Save. The total is on the button.

Saved, the screen says how it compares with last week. Press Edit to change it, or Count 9:00 too when another time hasn't been counted yet. Each count goes in the activity log with the name of who counted.

No signal in the lobby

The page still opens, and a count saved with no signal waits on the phone and goes when the signal is back. If someone else signs in on a shared iPad meanwhile, the waiting count stays and goes when its usher next signs in with a signal; the screen says so.
