Sermons on your church page

What people see once you publish: a Sermons tab, a player with captions and the words, a page for each speaker.

Once your church publishes a sermon from Present (see Publish a sermon), your church page gets a Sermons tab, and Home shows the latest one. Nothing else needs setting up. The page is in English or Spanish, in each person's phone's language.

The sermons

The Sermons tab lists them newest first, with each one's cover slide, speaker, series and scripture. People can narrow the list by speaker, series, book of the Bible or year, and search. The search finds titles, speakers, scripture and descriptions, and, for a sermon with Read along on, the words that were said; a match in the title comes first. Opening a sermon from a search keeps the words: with Read along on, a button finds where they were said, to hear them from there.

A sermon's page

  • The player, which picks up where they left off, with captions, 15 seconds back and on, and a choice of speed. The slides the room saw change along with it.
  • Read along, when you turned it on: the words under the player, following along, and a tap plays from there. With it off, the sermon's words aren't searched or quoted; the captions stay.
  • The description, the questions for small groups and, once you approved it, the recap with its chapters. A recap shows for the cut it was made for: after new cuts are published, it's approved again in Present before one shows.
  • Its own address to share. A shared link shows the cover in messages and social posts.

To tell people about it, email and social writes the church email and three posts from the approved recap, and Copy adds the sermon's link. Anyone who followed the sermon on their phone with Follow along finds its page there once it's published.

Speakers

Each speaker's name links to their page, with their sermons, newest first. When their card is on (see Speaker cards), the page shows their picture, title and bio too.

While your church has Present

The sermons show while your church has Present. If it stops, the recordings are kept, and the Sermons tab goes away until it's back.
