Your church site, found in search

How search engines find your church site, what a shared link shows, and the three things that help most.

When someone searches for your church, search engines can show your site with your service times and your town. PraisePad does its part by itself: every page of your site has a clear title and a short description, says when and where you meet in the form search engines read, and is listed for them to find. Your sermons, your speakers' pages, Plan a visit and your public events can all be found. Pages that belong to one person, like someone's giving, a sign-up or a family pass, are never shown in search. Until your site can use your church's own web address, like gracechurch.org (that's coming next), search results show PraisePad's name and icon above your church's pages.

When someone pastes your site's address into a message or a post, it shows a card with your cover photo, your name, the line under it, and your service times and town. A link to an event shows the event's picture, date and place, and a link to a sermon shows its title, the day it was preached, the speaker and the series on your church's card. The Share buttons on a sermon and an event send the same links.

What helps most

How long it takes

Search engines visit new pages on their own schedule: usually a few days, sometimes a few weeks. Once they start sending people, Where people came from on Your site this month shows Google (see How your site is doing).
