Your church's web address
The name at the end of your church's links. An owner can change it once a month, and old links keep working a year.
Your church's web address is the name at the end of its links, like church.praisepad.app/grace for your church's page and Give, and the same name in the app's own addresses. It's chosen when the church is set up: the setup page shows it as you type the church's name, says whether it's free, and there picks another.
Change it
- Open Settings › General. The card shows the address, with to copy it.
- Choose , type the new address (lower-case letters, digits and hyphens), and wait for Available.
- Choose .
Everyone moves to the new address at once, and the settings page opens there.
What keeps working
Posters, Present's QR code, giver emails, family passes and saved links with the old address keep working for a year: they go to the new one. The card lists each old address and the day it stops working. After that, the old address is free for any church to take.
Once a month
The address can change once a month, so links people saved don't move about. Until then, the card says the day it can change again.
Only owners can change it. Everyone else sees the address, and the card says an owner can change it.
