Live captions
With live captions on, the booth's computer hears the pastor through the sound desk and puts the words on the screens and on people's phones, a few seconds behind, translated for those who read another language.
Steps
A leader turns captions on once, in Present's , , and chooses the sermon's language, the translations phones can read, and where captions show. They cost 2¢ a minute and 1¢ a minute for each translation; the first 90 minutes are free for every church, and the sheet shows what's left before you press Start. With on, they start with no one pressing anything.
The CC chip beside REC says how they are: "CC · EN ES" while they run, "CC paused · song", or "CC stopped", which says why and what to do when you press it. They pause for the loop before the service and for slides marked Don't record too, and carry on at the next spoken slide. People reading on their phones see "Paused for the song · the words are on the screen". Captions don't run in Practice. Your church doesn't have captions? Press Got it.
