Who gave this? Matching gifts to people
Gifts that aren't sure of their giver wait here. Choose the right person with the keyboard, and undo if you need to.
Matching is plain arithmetic on email, phone, name and address, not AI. A gift with one certain match gets its person by itself. Anything not certain waits here for you, and nothing ever matches across churches.
One at a time
Each gift shows its name as given, with its possible people described in words: Likely or Possible, with the reasons (same email, same town, matched to them before).
- Press 1 or 2 to choose a suggestion.
- Someone else (S) to search for the person.
- Leave unnamed (U) for a loose envelope.
- Someone new (N) to add them to People, if you're allowed to add people.
- The arrow key skips to the next.
Tick Remember to keep that email or phone for the person, so their next gift matches by itself. A gift from "The Johnsons" can go to the household.
Every choice can be undone from the message that appears.
Statements only include gifts with a person, so clear this list before you send them.
