Sending year-end giving statements
Check who's missing an email, write the pastor's note, preview each household, send a test, then send or print.
Statements, in Giving, makes one statement per household (or per person) for the year. Churches usually send them by January 31.
Before you send
Pick the year at the top. The counts say how many go by email and how many to print, and Before you send lists what to fix: who has no email (they're printed), who to print has no address, gifts that still need a person, and whether your provider also sends statements this year.
The note and the preview
Write a short note from the pastor. turns your own sentence into a short note (AI sees only your words, never a name or an amount), and the Español tab makes the Spanish one for households set to Español; left empty, their statements have no note (never the English one). The preview is the real page for each household, with the note as typed; go through them with the arrows and switch between English and Español. shows it as the giver will get it. emails it to you only.
Send
Send asks for your two-step code right there (nothing you typed is lost), then sends in the background: each adult with an email gets their own copy with the PDF attached. You can leave the page. When it's done, download the ones to print in one file. If an email bounces, that statement moves to the print list.
Sending again
Once a year is sent, the page says when and to how many, and Send goes away so nobody gets two by accident. Gifts that arrive later, or a person matched later, can leave some households without one: is there for a real mistake, but usually you want only the ones without a statement.
After it's sent
If a gift on a sent statement is voided, refunded or given to someone else, the statement goes on Out of date. It's never re-sent by itself: choose to send a corrected one, which says it replaces the first. Find any statement by name and open its PDF as it was sent.
