Who can see giving: managers, counters, viewers and two roles
For ownersChecked Oct 14, 20261 minute to read
Only owners give Giving access. The levels, the two Giving roles, two-step sign-in, and Giving-only people.
Giving access is given only by an owner, in Settings, under Access, and every grant tells the church's other owners. It always needs two-step sign-in.
The levels
- Viewer: totals by fund and week, no names. For a finance committee.
- Editor: a counter. Counts batches and enters gifts, and sees only the batch in front of them.
- Manager: every gift and giver, statements, reports, settings and funds.
Owners and admins are viewers already: they see totals, not names, unless an owner gives them a Giving grant.
Two roles for managers
- Bookkeeper: a manager with no refunds, Stripe or settings.
- Auditor: reads everything until a date you choose, and changes nothing.
Two-step sign-in
Names and amounts open only after the second step in that session. A new manager sees totals until two-step is on for their account.
Use Preview on a person's card to see exactly what they'll see.
